Bert Green Fine Art is pleased to announce a special pre-publication offer of a portfolio suite of prints by Dr. Lakra, printed at El Nopal Press in Los Angeles.

Dr Lakra (Jeronimo Lopez Ramirez) was born in 1972 in Mexico and is based in Oaxaca, Mexico. While he is best known for his drawings and paintings on appropriated posters, erotic magazines, and postcards, his practice encompasses mural painting, collage and sculpture. Through these different mediums he explores his interests in anthropology and ethnography, documenting his fascination with the taboos, fetishes, myths and rituals of different cultures.

The portfolio includes 5 Lithographs whose approximate dimensions (all prints are slightly different in size) are 24” X 17” each. The 5 images are each derived from Xerox manipulated photographic illustrations. All 5 will be printed as duotones. There will be two separate duotone editions of each image in each of 2 color combinations: Silver/Black and Blue/Orange.

Images of the production work in progress, all proofs, and samples for artist approval will be shared with all participants as the production proceeds.

The Edition sizes are as follows, all signed and numbered by the artist:

Suite of 5 images in Silver/Black – Estimated Edition size of 7-10 numbered prints plus 3-4 APs

Suite of 5 images in Blue/Orange – Estimated Edition size of 7-10 numbered prints plus 3-4 APs

The date of completion of the edition is projected to be late November of 2017.

A very limited number of AP (artist’s proof) portfolios are available for a pre-publication price of
$4,000
The projected market price per portfolio is $6,000 to $7,500.

To participate in this offer, please contact the gallery.

Pre-payment is required. Please indicate the duotone color combination you prefer, and all 5 images in the portfolio will be provided in those colors. You may wait to select your preferred colors until we have image samples available, but they will be available only on a first come, first served basis.
