| HOMO RIOT is a provocative, Los Angeles-based street artist on a mission to bring a queer cultural sensibility to the world; he works mainly on the street using paint, stickers, and paste up art. For this show he has created a limited edition silk screen and a series of mixed media works on wood which are named after various locales in Los Angeles where gay men congregate for anonymous physical encounters. HOMO RIOT says about his work "...it's as much about communicating a strong positive presence to young gays and lesbians as it is about pissing off puritans." HOMO RIOT visited Chicago in Fall 2012 where he installed a number of his works around town; a few of these locations have been doumented and can be seen here.
